Brief history and description of operations:

Johnson Manufacturing Company was established in 1949 and was incorporated in Michigan in 1979.  Present management assumed operational control February 14, 1986 and completed the purchase of the company December 31, 1987.  100% of the stock is held by Kent and Keena Price, a married couple.

For most of its history, Johnson was a machine shop specializing in small high-precision parts primarily for the aerospace industry.  In 1995, the machining operations were sold to Precision Sheet Metal and Machine Company (now Precision Aerospace Corporation) who hired the production employees of Johnson, assumed all open contracts and acquired most of the production equipment.

Since the sale to Precision, Johnson has retained its corporate status and has focused on the development and commercialization of new technologies including a “gear availability and synchronization indicator” known as The GearMaster.  A patent (No. 5,941,922) on this device was issued August 24, 1999 with Johnson Manufacturing Company as the assignee.  GearMaster International is a division of and registered DBA of Johnson Manufacturing Company.  Further information on The Gearmaster is available on the web at www.gearmaster.com.

In 2002 a second division, Price Aero Services was formed as a DBA under the corporate umbrella of Johnson Manufacturing Company.  For further information see www.priceaero.com
